As a QA Team Lead, your primary responsibility is to oversee the quality control process in the organization.

Core Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities as a QA Team Lead include:

• Leading and managing the QA team to ensure that they meet the KPI’s and Timelines while maintaining expected output quality. 
• Developing and implementing quality control procedures and policies within the organization. 
• Defining and designing test strategies, plans, and scenarios based on the requirements gathered from project stakeholders
• Reviewing and analyzing technical requirements, test plans, and test cases for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
• Conducting QA audits to identify areas for improvement and apply corrective measures
• Ensuring that all products delivered meet the organization’s quality expectations
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues

Key Skills and Qualifications

As a QA Team Lead, you should have the following key skills and qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes
• Experience with manual and automated testing approaches and tools
• Familiarity with testing methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps
• Exposure to testing software applications across multiple platforms and operating systems
• Proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA, HP Quality Center, and Bugzilla
• Understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, and C#
• Preferably be familiar with Load Mill

Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software QA testing and at least 2 years of team leadership experience
• Certifications in software testing such as ISTQB or CMMI are a plus

Note: Prior experience on Loadmill will be a plus.
